The agreement.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Anchor mobile application (the "App"), operated by Bautista Tancredi ("we", "us", "our") as a sole developer. By signing in to and using Anchor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of the App

Anchor is a personal-use mobile tool that helps you intervene in moments of urge to gamble, track progress toward stopping, and engage with a structured recovery program. It is offered as a tool, not as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, addiction, or crisis support.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Anchor. By signing in, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly provide the App to anyone under 18.

3. Account registration

You sign in through Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in account secure. If you lose access to that account, you may lose access to your Anchor data, including data that cannot be recovered.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Anchor requires an active subscription to access its features. Subscriptions are sold and processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Plans. We offer monthly and annual subscription plans, each with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Pricing. Prices are shown in the App at purchase time and may vary by region. Apple may apply taxes and fees according to your location.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time via your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not refund the current period.

Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. See Apple's refund policy at support.apple.com/HT204084 .

Trial. If you start a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, you will be charged for the full subscription period at the price shown.

5. Your content

The data you enter in Anchor — including journal entries, urges, relapses, reasons for quitting, and trusted person contacts — belongs to you.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display this data only as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the App, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your content. We do not use your journal entries, urges, relapses, reasons for quitting, or trusted person contacts for advertising. We do not share your content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to facilitate, encourage, or promote gambling or betting.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App's operation or security.
• Use the App on behalf of someone else without their consent.
• Submit information about other people, such as a trusted person's contact details, unless you have their permission or a reasonable basis to store that information for your own personal support use.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

Anchor does not contact your trusted person. Trusted person contact details are stored only so you can access them easily within the App.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.

7. Not medical or therapeutic advice

Anchor is not a medical device, therapy, treatment, crisis service, or substitute for professional care. It is a personal tool for habit change and self-support.

Anchor is not designed for emergencies or crisis situations. If you are experiencing severe distress, suicidal thoughts, a mental health crisis, or any immediate risk of harm, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

If you have a serious gambling addiction or co-occurring mental health condition, we strongly encourage you to seek help from a licensed therapist, counselor, physician, or a recognized recovery program, such as Gamblers Anonymous.

We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, disorder, or medical condition. The content and features of the App are educational and supportive in nature.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will produce specific outcomes, such as quitting gambling or reducing urges. Your use of the App is at your own discretion and risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes but is not limited to: financial losses, emotional distress, loss of data, relapse-related outcomes, or any decisions you make based on the App's content or features.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain warranties or liabilities; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

You can terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting your account (Profile → Delete account). On account deletion, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or restrict your access to the App if you breach these Terms, if continued provision becomes impractical, or if required by law. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you when this happens, except where notice would be impractical or legally restricted.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar protections, the mandatory consumer law of your country may also apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the App changes substantially or in response to legal changes. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the App and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to a material change, you may stop using the App and request account deletion.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
